Geotextile comes under Geosynthetics materials, which are used to offer geo-technical solutions to mainly Civil engineering problems. Geotextiles are used extensively in Roads, Railway Tracks, Embankments, Water Works, Soil Erosion Controls, Slope Stabilization, Landfill, Reservoirs, Drainage etc.

The main function of geotextile is to provide good separation, filtrations, protection, drainage and reinforcement thereby increasing the life of structure. The geotextile can be produced by two ways, namely Woven and Nonwoven.
